President Cup Tournament

🏆 Three Rounds. One Net Total. A Season-Long Challenge.

The President Cup is one of LVMC’s premier satellite tournaments, built for players who enjoy steady competition, smart course management, and the challenge of putting together three strong net rounds over the summer season.

This is not about one lucky round. The President Cup rewards consistency. Every round matters, every hole counts, and your final position is based on your total 54-hole net score across three submitted rounds.

Play well, stay organized, complete your rounds on time, and you may earn your way into the October President Cup Championship.

⛳ What Makes the President Cup Special

The President Cup is a 54-hole net stroke play event. Players submit three 18-hole rounds during the tournament window, with no more than one President Cup round submitted per calendar month.

That format creates a great season-long test. A strong opening round can set the tone, but there is still work to do. A tough round does not end your tournament, but it does make the next round more important.

The players who manage their games, avoid big numbers, hole every putt, and complete clean scorecards will have the best chance to rise in the standings.

📋 Tournament Overview

Tournament Window: May through September
Total Rounds Required: 3 rounds of 18 holes
Monthly Limit: Maximum one submitted President Cup round per calendar month
Format: 54-hole net stroke play total score
Eligibility: Open to current LVMC members with a valid USGA / WHS Handicap Index
Tees: White or Blue movable tee markers, not the permanent tee plates
Handicap Basis: 90% of the Los Verdes Tournament Index, with tournament handicap limits
Flights: A maximum of four flights, determined after registration closes
Championship: Each flight winner qualifies for the President Cup Championship in October

🔄 How the Tournament Works

Players must submit three eligible President Cup rounds during the tournament window. Only one President Cup round may be submitted in any calendar month.

For each submitted round, the player records gross scores hole by hole. Golf Genius applies the appropriate handicap information, and the final President Cup score is the total of all three net rounds.

At the end of the tournament window, the lowest 54-hole net scores in each flight determine the flight winners.

🏆 President Cup Championship

Each flight winner advances to the President Cup Championship in October.

If a flight winner is unable to participate, the next eligible finisher may be invited.

The President Cup Championship is an 18-hole net stroke play event. Detailed championship information will be provided to the qualifying players.

Players are expected to read the President Cup Official Rules & Procedures before registering and before playing their first President Cup round.
