June Weekday Tournament Delivers Big Scores
The June Weekday Tournament brought out some outstanding golf as players competed in the Partner Pars or Better format. With one point awarded for every net par or better, the scoring was impressive across all flights, including winning scores of 28, 28, and 29 points out of a possible 36.
Congratulations to Chad Schluchter / Tyson Underwood, Robert Martin / Ken Robertson, and Chuck Olinger / Frank Hironaka for winning their flights. Special recognition also goes to John Fabis, Robert Martin, and Chuck Olinger for posting perfect 9-for-9 stretches on either the front or back nine.
The Weekday Tournament season has now reached the halfway point, with six tournaments completed and six still to come. The July Weekday Tournament will feature Individual Tin Whistle, also known as Stableford, with more information coming July 1.
July Monthly Tournament
Get ready for one of the most exciting team formats of the summer. The LVMC July Monthly Tournament will feature the Orange Ball Team Event on Sunday, July 19, 2026, with the first tee time at 6:30 AM.
This is not your standard team event. Each group will have an A, B, C, and D player, and every player will have their turn carrying the pressure of the Orange Ball. The team score will combine the Orange Ball player’s score with the best net score from the remaining three players, making every hole important and every player part of the team’s success.
The tournament also gives members the opportunity to play their President Cup or Eclectic Cup round at the same time, making this a great chance to compete in multiple LVMC events during one fun summer tournament day.
Registration is now open and will close on Tuesday, July 14 at 11:00 PM. The cost is $100 per golfer and includes green fees, cart, warm-up balls, 4 beers, and appetizers per group.

July Monthly Meeting
July is here, summer is in full swing, and LVMC is ready to celebrate with a great evening of food, music, golf, and friendship at our July Monthly Meeting.
Join us on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, on the patio of the Vista Ballroom at Los Verdes Golf Course for a summer BBQ prepared by our very own Randy Sgro, featuring tri-tip, chicken, and classic sides including green salad, potato salad, baked beans, and dessert.
Come early and join the fun at our Famous Putting Contest, hosted by Jim Louder, starting at 4:30 PM. The monthly meeting and dinner will begin at 6:00 PM.
We are also excited to welcome Saxon Weiss as our featured entertainment for the evening. Saxon is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Southern California whose performances showcase an extraordinary range of musical styles. With a command of classical, jazz, blues, rock, bluegrass, and country music, Saxon brings versatility, technical skill, and expressive depth well beyond his years. He has shared the stage with numerous accomplished artists and continues to captivate audiences with dynamic performances that blend tradition, creativity, and youthful energy.
Satellite Tournaments
The LVMC Satellite Tournaments are officially underway, and the season is already full of great competition, friendly matchups, and plenty of opportunities to test your game. Whether you are playing in the President Cup, Eclectic Cup, Blue Classic, White Classic, Senior Match Play, or another Satellite event, this is your hub for tournament information, rules, registration links, brackets, scorecards, and updates throughout the season.
Please remember to review the specific rules for each tournament before you play, including tee assignments, scoring requirements, monthly deadlines, and any round registration requirements. These events are built to be competitive, fun, and fair for all members, so thank you for doing your part by staying informed, playing with sportsmanship, keeping good pace of play, and submitting your results properly.
Team Play Update
