🏆 A Season-Long Team Match Play Battle

The White Classic is one of LVMC’s premier satellite tournaments, built for players who enjoy teamwork, strategy, pressure, and the excitement of head-to-head match play.

This is not just another round of golf. It is team against team, hole by hole, with every net better ball carrying the chance to change the match. One team advances, one team goes home, and the bracket gets tougher with every round.

Played from April through September, the White Classic gives members a fun and competitive way to partner up, test their games, and chase a spot in the Championship Match.

⛳ What Makes the White Classic Special

The White Classic is played as a 4-ball, partner’s better ball match play event. Each player plays his own ball, but only the team’s best net score on each hole counts.

That creates a great mix of strategy and teamwork. One partner can be aggressive while the other plays steady. A bad hole by one player does not ruin the team. A clutch putt, a timely par, or a net birdie can swing the entire match.

Every match has its own story, and every team has a chance to make a run.

The White Classic is a team event, so choosing the right partner matters. Good communication, flexibility, and availability are just as important as good golf.

Teams are responsible for scheduling their own matches, coordinating with opponents, and completing each round by the assigned deadline. The teams that stay organized and get their matches played on time will have the best tournament experience.

Tournament Window: April through September
Format: 4-Ball / Partner’s Better Ball Match Play
Structure: Team Single-Elimination Bracket
Team Size: 2 players
Field Size: 64 teams maximum
Eligibility: Both players must be current LVMC members and must have an established GHIN Index at the time the team enters the event
Handicap Basis: 90% of each player’s Los Verdes Tournament Index, fixed for the entire tournament
Tees: White movable tee markers
Blue / White Pairing Restriction: A team that plays together in the White Classic may not also play together as a team in the Blue Classic

📅 How the Tournament Works

Teams are placed into a single-elimination bracket. Each round is played during its assigned month, and the winning team advances to the next round.

The tournament continues until two teams remain for the Championship Match in September.

April: Round of 64
May: Round of 32
June: Sweet Sixteen
July: Elite Eight
August: Final Four
September: Championship Match

Registration is processed through Golf Genius. Please visit the Golf Genius registration page for the current registration status, entry fee, deadline, team registration instructions, and player availability information.

Teams must register together, and no team changes are allowed after registration closes.
