March 9, 2022 To start things off this month, Jim Louder and Tony Vinter have agreed to start the putting contest a month early. For new members the putting contest is held each month on meeting night, the cost is $3.00 for the first try and $2.00 for each additional attempt. You are trying to qualify to be crowned the putting champion in October. This year not only are you playing to have your name engraved on the perpetual trophy that is in the trophy case in the pro shop, you are playing for something new this year which I will disclose later, but I can assure you it is something unique, Jim has come up for the winner of the putting contest. The putting contest will start at 4:30 pm. Our speaker this month is Scott Rogowski, owner and founder of Unity Performance in Hermosa Beach. Unity Performance is a golf performance facility that works with golfers on their swing, fitness, rehab, and sports psychology. Scott has a masters degree in Kinesiology, specializing in sports performance and human movement. Scott has and does work with players on PGA and LPGA tour, MLB, AVP, NFL, and NBA. Scott worked with the LA Galaxy. In addition, he trained athletes for the 2012 Olympics. His love to help athletes at all levels is what motived him to open Unity Performance in 2019. This is a speaker you are not going to want to miss. For dinner we are going to serving Corn beef and Cabbage but not just any corn beef and Cabbage, we are taking it up a notch, this is being brought in from Dublin Ireland, as I have a good friend with some great connections to some of the best corn beef and cabbage you will ever have. In addition, we will have red potatoes, salad, and desert, with a coffee and tea station, and beer all for the reasonable price of $25.00 per person. It really would not be St. Patrick’s Day without an Irish Whiskey tasting, that is right gentlemen we will be have an Irish Whiskey tasting as well.

April 13, 2022 Gentlemen, it is hard to believe that we are one quarter down for 2022. I want to say thank you to all those that attended last month’s meeting, for those of you that missed the meeting, you really missed some of the best corn beef cabbage known to man, and informative evening as well. Scott Rogowski of Unity Performance provided a lot of good information on how to improve our golf game. Now on to April, spring is in the air, and that means spring break for most. In light of this fact, we are going to try something a little different this month for meeting night. As always, we will have the putting contest but we are going to let it run a little longer since it stays light longer now. During the putting contest we will have a keg of beer available to help you make your way around the course that Jim and Tony will have set up. As you all know you are playing for more than just being named putting champion of 2022, Jim and Tony of come up with another prize, more on that to come in the next few months. Speaking of a preview of the upcoming months, let me tell you about the coming attractions for meeting night; May we will be our Cinco De Mayo Celebration; June will be our tribute to at the Cradle at Pinehurst. For those of you who have been to Pinehurst you know about the Cradle, for those of you who have had the privilege of getting to Pinehurst you are in for a treat. July, Mike Swanson has told me he will be bringing back the rolling grill, so we will be doing Tri-Tip and chicken again. So that is just a sneak peek of what is coming up. But in order to continue with these meetings, we need to get at least 60 members to come up for and purchase diner, so that I don’t have to cover the budget by taking money out of the prize fund money for each month’s tournament. In light of this fact, this month, for dinner I have asked the course to keep the kitchen open a little later so that you can just buy dinner off a select menu, which I am sure that the chef will be preparing a few great things to choose from. Also, I am going to ask, that if anybody has any ideas of what they would like to see for meeting night please let me know, I could use the input to keep the meetings meaningful and worthwhile. So come on up to Los Verdes, on Wednesday April 13, 2022 to qualify to become the putting champion of 2022 and to hang out with your buddies for just a little while. Oh yeah there may be another couple of surprises for those who attend. Randy Sgro LVMC Entertainment Chairman

May 11, 2022 Putting at 4:30 Dinner at 6 Speaker and meeting at 7

Well spring break is now over so it is time to get back in to attending the monthly meeting. For those of you who missed last month’s meeting you missed a really good time. Jim Louder and Tony Vinter ran the putting contest a little later and I am going to ask them to do the same thing this month. As I mentioned earlier in the year, Jim and Tony had created something special to compete for, as the putting championship, and here it is, the first ever Los Verdes belt buckle. Jim and Tony have really gotten into Yellowstone, but this is a one of a kind “trophy”, it something worth competing for. So rather than having a speaker, we will let the putting contest run a little longer to allow you a chance to qualify for the championship. Speaking of dinner, this month in honor of Cinco De Mayo we will be having a Mexican fiesta. Complete with a taco bar, chips, salsa, rice and beans desert with a coffee and tea station and desert. Oh and least I forget, a keg of beer. Dinner is $25.00. I am not sure where you can get a complete dinner out for this price. This month you can pay at the door the old fashion way with cash or if you prefer you can pay through paypal. Look forward to seeing you all on meeting night.
